Investing in women’s economic empowerment sets a path towards gender equality, poverty eradication, and inclusive growth. The Healthy Village project in remote tribal villages of Nandurbar District of Maharashtra has been concentrating on improving health conditions, women and children’s literacy, and livelihood, with a particular focus on issues that affect the rural population. Preventive health care, food security, women’s empowerment, maternal health care, and a decrease in child mortality are all aspects of our community health care programmes that contribute to sustainable development.
